National Defense Authorization Act for FY 2006
The Center on Conscience and War is monitoring congressional activity on the National Defense Authorization Act. Representative Pete Stark (D-CA) offered an amendment that will require a Government Accountability Office (GAO) study of criminal activity by military recruiters. If this amendment passes, the study will be an important step toward curbing aggressive recruitment tactics and criminal behavior.
